The Spiedie & Rib Pit has been in existence since 1993. Owned and operated by John Schofield & Susie Lupo Schofield, the Spiedie & Rib Pit has worked its way up the Southern Tier “Spiedie Ladder” and claimed top spot averaging 2500 lbs of cooked and raw spiedie meat a week!

Their catapult to the top was directly related to the development and trademark of their “Spiedie Specialty” Menu. By offering different toppings, breads, condiments and sauces as a compliment to their char-broiled delicacies, they distinguished themselves as the only place in the Triple Cities to offer a Gourmet style spiedie.

The Spiedie & Rib Pit Vestal Location is a franchise, owned by Susie’s sister Elizabeth Lupo, and offers the same menu as its Parent in Binghamton. It has established itself on the Vestal Parkway as a favorite of Binghamton University students and faculty.

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint in our new location, by using biodegradable and recyclable plastic as well as printing our menus on recycled paper stock comprised of 25% cotton. Cotton is a sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable environmentally-friendly fiber.
